I am working primarily as a database professional, but also responsible for my small company IT infrastructure, network, security, hardware, and many many more. Many times I need to find information how to do something that I have never done before. Especially when I try to be in a systems architect role and need to find if my idea is worth implementing. Searching the Internet for a problem solution usually starts with trying to find out how other people name this problem, then many hours of research and then in the end you find the solution. The answer may be on a web site that may or may not exist in a few months. So you bookmark it and then when a few months later, when you forgot how you solved this problem before, this website does not exist any more and you have to repeat this process again. Making notes is a good idea, but then no one else will be able to use your knowledge...
I will be posting here some of my notes and how-tos. They will not likely be organized nicely as I work on may different projects and I will only post here if I feel that this solution is worth for the others to spend time reading through it...
